The Upwelling were featured on Spin.com this week! (click for the article and mp3 downloads)

If you haven't listened to their new single(?) "Love Is Dead," it's time to give these guys a second look. This band has the potential to be the next super-rock group. Every move they make seems to be in that direction. They are on tour right now, and if the pop progression and melodic lyrics of "Love Is Dead" reach out and connect with you, I'd say it's time to see them live. I know, some people will say "Love Is Dead" is just a cute pop tune, but taking into consideration the lyrics of other Upwelling tunes like "Steps," "Ruth," "Enemy," and "Who Needs You Now," you have to acknowledge that Ari Upwelling is a lyricist extroidinaire whose deep connection to his emotions allow him to produce material that has strong pop sensibilities but also resonates with all of our vulnerabilities, time and again.

4/22, Johnson City, NY (Magic City Music Hall)
4/24, New York, NY (Nokia Theatre)
