all other days bow to the 25th, christmas! it's the only religious holiday that is also a federal holiday. that way christians can go to their services and everyone else can stay home and reflect on the true meaning of the seperation between church and state.

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas here in 80 degree key west. so far i have laid on the beach, visited the most southern point in the united states, one swimming, and listened to the insestant christmas carolling on the radio. It's beginning to look a lot like christmas... but definately not here in sunny florida! Oh yeah.

a 25-year-old man stormed the stage at a heavy-metal rock concert wednesday night, shooting and killing damageplan guitarist "dimebag" darrell abbott and three others before a police officer shot and killed him, columbus police said.

abbott, 39, and his brother, vinnie paul abbott, 40, formed damageplan after the breakup of pantera -- a group they formed in the 1980s. their father is jerry abbott, a country and western songwriter and producer.

even sadder than the death of pantera is that i can tell you the statute of limitations to sue for wrongful death that abbott family will have against the killer. (2 years) or if he's convicted of murder at the criminal trial maybe they get 7 years pursuant to the crime victim statute? shit. i gotta go figure this out... the final is tomorrw!

unfortunately what i am getting for hanukah this year is a 15 day pre-paid trip to the library to study for finals... but even in this difficult time i enjoy a little jewish hip-hop...
